Submit your 2D or hanging 3D artwork to CAA's show at Centre Concord.  The theme is Big Emotions. A committee of CAA members will jury this show.

 

Petula Clark sang that love is "deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the sky." That’s certainly a big emotion! There are so many others: hot anger, devastating loss, darkest despair, bubbling joy, intoxicating triumph, overwhelming awe. We want our gallery visitors to have their eyes glistening and hearts racing as they are swept into a vortex of emotions. Please, accept our challenge to use your favorite media to plunge us all into a pool of passionate feelings! Be bold! Be brave!

*This call for art will include submissions from senior-enrolled students at Concord High School.

We look forward to seeing your work! You may submit up to two pieces for consideration. Entry fee is $15 perpiece. 10% commission on sales payable to Concord Art Association. Fees and commissions help fund CAA Teacher Grant and Scholarship programs.

Requirements

• Be a member of CAA. Join CAA

• 2D work: minimum framed size is 20" high x 16" wide; maximum framed size is 36" high x 36" wide.

• 3D hanging work: same dimension requirements as 2D; must not protrude more than 3 inches from the wall and weigh no more than 5 lbs.

• No nudity or volatile subjects.

• Follow CAA framing guidelines. Work that doesn't meet the guidelines may not be accepted.

• Drop off and pick up artwork on scheduled dates or arrange for someone else to do so. If you cannot do that, arrange for someone else to help out. Artwork cannot be stored at Centre Concord.

• Submissions due: October 11, 2026

• Artist notifications: October 14

• Drop off: October 15

• Reception: Thursday, November 5, 5-7pm

• Pick up: January 15, 2027​
