Abstract Reasoning at Diablo College Library, August 22 - December 10, 2022
CAA members, in conjunction with Global Art Project (GAP) and Studio 55 Martinez, are showing abstract works at Diablo Valley College's Library throughought the 2022 Fall semester. Also included in the group exhibit are invitational artists John Barry, Kathy Wills and Vivian Hart. This is the first time DVC has held a exhibit with three major local art associations. The exhibit will be open to the public until December 10.

CAA is the oldest art association in Contra Costa County and a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports and engages local artists through art education, exhibits, special events, and outreach programs.
Founded by artist and educator Carl Heyward, Global Art Project is a mixed-media collaborative collective consisting of 75 working artists working in 17 countries.
Studio 55 Martinez is a fine arts studio for individual artists and groups that hosts art classes and workshops throughout the year.
San Ramon City Hall Gallery, July - August, 2022, San Ramon, CA
CAA members were invited to submit up to six large (at least 16" x 16") works to show at the San Ramon City Hall for the Lazy Days of Summer exhibit.
Artist Mural Painting Jam, June, 2022, Todos Santos Plaza, Concord, CA
CAA was one of 12 groups and individual artists invited by Creative Concord to join the inaugural Artist Mural Painting Jam in Todos Santos Plaza for two days in June. Working from a design by Sharon Peterson, "Reaching for Peace," volunteer members completed the CAA mural using spray paint and stencils. All murals painted at the event were donated to local nonprofits. The CAA painting is now hanging at the Monument Crisis Center in Concord. The fun event, which included several permanent murals around the Plaza and at the Veranda shopping center, was co-sponsored by Visit Concord and 333 Arts.
East Bay Regional Park District invited CAA to present a non-juried member show at the Big Break Visitor Center at the Delta. Each artist submitted up to twp works that explored the theme, A Concord View of the Delta.
John Muir Health Aspen Center, January - February, 2022, Walnut Creek, CA
The John Muir Auxiliary invited CAA to present a juried member show at the Aspen Surgery Center at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek. Each CAA member submitted up to 2 pieces that explored the theme, Wellness and Well-being.
