CAA Spring Show at Visit Concord, April 1 - June 28, 2023

Next time you're in downtown Concord, stop by Visit Concord in Pacheco Square Plaza to see the CAA Spring Show gallery wall, hung floor to ceiling. Visit Concord has an array of informative maps and brochures, as well as local-interest items for sale, including unique and artful greeting cards designed by CAA members and our newest bookmarks featuring a design by CAA member Sharon Peterson. You can also find Rachel Dunn Chocolates, a stylish T-shirt, the famous Taco Trail map, or the Creative Concord mural map that features all the new murals around town.

Past Exhibits

Colors of Spring 2023, Concord Historical Society, fine art show and art & craft sale at Concord Museum Event Center, May 5 - 7. This CAA exhibit and sale is in conjunction with the Concord Historical Society's annual spring tea event at the historical Galindo House next to the Event Center.

Abstract Reasoning at Diablo College Library, August 22 - December 10, 2022

CAA members, in conjunction with Global Art Project (GAP) and Studio 55 Martinez, are showing abstract works at Diablo Valley College's Library throughought the 2022 Fall semester. Also included in the group exhibit are invitational artists John Barry, Kathy Wills and Vivian Hart. This is the first time DVC has held a exhibit with three major local art associations. The exhibit will be open to the public until December 10.

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Reception: December 3, 2022, 2 - 5 p.m.

 

CAA is the oldest art association in Contra Costa County and a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports and engages local artists through art education, exhibits, special events, and outreach programs.

Founded by artist and educator Carl Heyward, Global Art Project is a mixed-media collaborative collective consisting of 75 working artists working in 17 countries. 

Studio 55 Martinez is a fine arts studio for individual artists and groups that hosts art classes and workshops throughout the year.

San Ramon City Hall Gallery, July - August, 2022, San Ramon, CA

CAA members were invited to submit up to six large (at least 16" x 16") works to show at the San Ramon City Hall for the Lazy Days of Summer exhibit.
