Carpe Diem--Latin for "seize the day"--celebrates the beauty, urgency, and wonder of the present moment.​ Artists are encouraged to interpret this timeless idea through their own creative lens. Whether your work captures fleeting moments, personal transformation, joy, reflection, nature, or the passage of time, we welcome art that inspires viewers to embrace the now. 

 

Submit your two-dimensional or three-dimensional (review guidelines below) for the theme of this exhibit, "Carpe Diem."

Artists working in all mediums and styles, including hanging 3D art, are invited to create or submit pieces that embody the spirit of Carpe Diem. This exhibition aims to bring together diverse perspectives that remind us to live fully, appreciate life's small moments, and celebrate creativity.

 

A committee of CAA members will jury this show. Concord Art Association looks forward to seeing what Carpe Diem is for the creative person you are. Representational and abstract work are welcome!

You may submit up to four pieces for consideration. Entry fee is $15 per piece. 10% commission on sales payable to Concord Art Association. Fees and commissions help fund CAA's Teacher Grant and Scholarship programs.

Requirements

• Be a member of CAA. Join CAA

• 2D work: minimum framed size is 20" wide x 20" high; maximum framed size is 36" wide x 36" high.

• 3D hanging work: same dimension requirements as 2D; must not protrude more than 3 inches from the wall and weigh no more than 5 lbs.

• No nudity or volatile subjects.

• Follow CAA framing guidelines. Work that doesn't meet the guidelines may not be accepted.

• Drop off and pick up artwork on scheduled dates or arrange for someone else to do so. If you cannot do that, arrange for someone else to help out. Artwork cannot be stored at Centre Concord.

• Drop off: July 17, 12:30-1:30pm

• Reception: July 30, 5-7pm

• Pick up: October 16, 12:30-1:30pm​
