Concord Library Display Case

Location: Concord Public Library, 2900 Salvio St., Concord, CA
Deadline for submission (extended!): August 30
The Concord Art Association invites all members to show their work at the Concord Public Library in September, 2023.
You are invited to submit up to 2 pieces of art for display in one of the display cases in the library. The theme of the show is “Vacation Memories.” All work should be original and of the highest quality.

Maximum Size for 2 dimensional pieces: 8" x 8", including frame

All 2-D pieces 4” x 4” or smaller must come with an easel

Maximum Size for 3 dimensional pieces: 5" x 3" x 8" tall

Artwork must meet CAA’s framing guidelines. Please be aware that no glass is permitted. Detailed framing instructions will be provided upon acceptance

No pieces may be removed by either artist or buyer before the art pick-up date of September 30, 2023

Entry Fees: $10 per piece, maximum 2 pieces per artist
Submit images of your artwork via Jotform link below by new extended deadline, Wednesday, August 30, 2023

Images should be JPEGs with resolution of 300dpi with 1200 pixels on the longest side

One piece per jpeg file and show only the artwork without frame or mat

Label each image with your last name, and the title of the piece

Selection Criteria
Artwork will be selected based on the following criteria:

Art is original and of the highest quality in concept and execution

Art is framed per CAA framing guidelines
-
Art satisfies the theme "Vacation Memories"

Show Timeline

Wednesday, August 30: deadline to submit via JotForm
-
Thursday, August 31: deliver and check in art, 10am - 1pm

Tuesday, September 12 (new date): Artist Reception, 1 - 3pm

Saturday, September 30: pick up art, 10am - 1pm
Additional Notes: All Artists are responsible for handling their own sales.

Submit images of your artwork by August 28, 2023 via Jotform (Use link below). Pay the entry fee of $10 per piece through Jotform or check payable to Concord Art Association. Mail checks to P.O. Box 641, Concord, CA 94522-0641. Please note "Concord Library Show" in remarks.
