Concord Library Invites CAA Artists to Give Their Library Carts a Glow-UP!

CAA members have been invited to transform the Concord Library's everyday library book carts into colorful, creative works of art. The carts travel throughout the library every day, so your designs will be seen and enjoyed by the community as they move throughout the building. Themes are open and can be playful, imaginative, literary, or abstract.

Artists are invited to submit a short proposal or sketch for a book cart design to library manager Kimberli Buckley (information below). This is a volunteer opportunity. Materials will be provided for this project.

All designs/proposals are due by June 30, 2026.

To submit a proposal:

  • Send a brief description or sketch of your design idea. Concord Library will review proposals and select designs.

  • Provide a list of materials needed. The library will provide the book cart and approved supplies.

  • Artists will paint their cart at the library during scheduled times (carts will need to stay at the library).

  • Send your proposal or ideas to: kimberli.buckley@library.cccounty.us
