A Touch of Native Art at the aRt Cottage, February 11, Concord

Timothy Aguino's first solo show at the aRt Cottage, A Touch of Native Art, opens on Saturday, February 11 with a reception. Tim is a member of the Tewa tribe who grew up on the San Juan Pueblo Reservation in New Mexico. He's a self-taught artist currently living in Contra Costa County and cites his Hopi heritage as an influence in his colorful mixed-media work. His paintings, some featuring intricate beadwork, will be on display at the aRt Cottage through the month of February. Come meet Tim at the opening reception on February 11th, or stop by when he serves as a working artist in residence, February 18th, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. The exhibit is curated by aRt Cottage owner and CAA member FROgard Schmidt.
