We have an action-packed July Newsletter, so check it out. Along with timely thoughts about travel sketching from traveling CAA President Catherine Hensiek, and a call for participation in the Concord 4th of July Parade (a 1960s theme, celebrating CAA's 60th anniversary this year!), there are events and dates you don't want to miss, including:
The CAA Celebrates 60 Years group exhibit opens at the aRt Cottage in Concord, July 5. The open house reception is Saturday, July 8, from 2-4pm. This will be a big show with 80 artworks from more than 30 CAA artists. All are welcome to the reception and snacks will be served. Preview the show here.
The next CAA member meeting is August 12, and for the first time will be held at beautiful Studio 55 in Martinez. If you haven't had a chance to check out Studio 55, now is an excellent chance to do so. It's the perfect place to make art and that's what we'll be doing between 1-4pm. For members with mobility issues, the installation of an elevator for the second-floor studio will hopefully be complete by August 12. We will keep you posted.
We will also have a pop-up art and craft sale the next day, August 13, at Studio 55. If you want to participate, apply by July 30th.
There are more calls for art as well, so don't miss this newsletter.
