The Concord Art Association begins its 2026 slate of presenters with award-winning plein air artist Nancy Roberts. Come to the meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 1pm for a presentation by Roberts, an Oakley resident and acrylic painter, known for her bold color and unique, inventive style. The Library is located at 2900 Salvio St.
Roberts thinks of reality as just a jumping-off point and loves allowing each new painting to emerge and transform, expressing its own poetry. She is an avid plein air painter and enjoys heading out into nature to paint with friends.
Many of you know her from the local artists’ group she organizes, Contra Costa Plein Air.
Although we’ll be indoors for this demo, Roberts plans to recreate the plein air experience, sharing her favorite set-up, tips and acrylic painting techniques. A fun and interactive demo, she welcomes all questions.
To learn more about Roberts and see a full portfolio of her work, visit her website, nancyrobertsstudio.com.
We'll open the meeting room at 12:30 for set-up. Come early to help or to participate in the Mini Art Show--bring some current art to show and discuss.
