RSVP For the Next CAA Member Meeting: Tuesday, Nov. 4th, with Guest Artist John Tullis

CAA's last in-person member meeting is Tuesday, November 4th at the Concord Library from 1 to 3pm. Come early, starting at 12:30, to help set up or if you want to participate in the mini-art show to share your latest work with the group. The Concord Library is located at 2900 Salvio St. in Concord, CA. RSVP for the meeting here.

Our guest artist will be Martinez-based oil painter John Tullis who will demonstrate line-drawing techniques with ink or charcoal combined with watercolor mediums. If you like to travel with a sketchbook, this technique will resonate as a simple way to render expressive illustrations for landscape and figure drawing.

John will bring examples of materials, such as papers, brushes and drawing tools. Bring your own sketchbooks, notebooks and favorite drawing supplies, as well as reference photos to work on this technique with John. An oil painter, figurative artist and member of the Main Street Arts Gallery co-op, John teaches workshops at the Lynn House Gallery in Antioch and the Bothwell Center for the Arts in Livermore.

Come to the meeting to learn from an accomplished artist and to visit with your CAA friends. See you there! (Art by John Tullis.)
