Submit your 2D or hanging 3D artwork to CAA's show at Visit Concord. The theme is 1 Squared. A committee of CAA members will jury this show.

 

Keyboards, tiling, and grids all have in common that neat and organized pattern of squares. No maps or directions needed. One by one, 12 inches by 12 inches. We at CAA think you can still make this exhibit intriguing, particularly if you do submit two pieces, as we hope you do. Are they completely different in execution? Unique in vivid color?  Perhaps you want to paint a small diptych. Let’s you and I make this show, “One Squared” a pop and a bang! Swoon-worthy art magic.

 

We look forward to seeing your work! You may submit up to 2 pieces for consideration. Entry fee is $10 per piece; 10% commission on sales payable to Concord Art Association. Fees and commissions help fund CAA's Teacher Grant and Scholarship programs.

Requirements

• Be a member of CAA. Join CAA

• 2D work: minimum framed size: 12" x 12", 1 foot x 1 foot (including frame, if used).

• 3D hanging work: same dimension requirements as 2D; must not protrude more than 3 inches from the wall and weigh no more than 5 lbs.

• No nudity or volatile subjects.

• Follow CAA framing guidelines. Work that doesn't meet the guidelines may not be accepted.

• Drop off and pick up artwork on scheduled dates or arrange for someone else to do so. Artwork cannot be stored at Visit Concord.

• Submissions due: Monday, April 20

• Artist notifications: Wednesday, April 22

• Drop off: Friday, April 24, 12:30 to 1:30pm

• Reception: Friday, June 5, 4-6pm

• Pick up: Friday, August 28, 12:30 to 1:30pm​
