Call for Art - CAA Members

April 10 - July 17, 2026

at Centre Concord, 5298 Clayton Rd., Concord, CA

From the public access beaches to the Redwood forests, California is a natural wonderland!

With over 840 miles of coastline, the emerald green waters of Lake Tahoe, and the desert of Mojave, California has everything compelling and unique. This state is dynamic in culture, people, and sites.

How do you do you in one of the largest states in the United States? Rollerblading in Venice Beach? A quiet hike at Mt. Tamalpias? Is Love of California represented in a photograph you took at sunset? Or the slopes of the Sierra Mountains during the winter, in the nuances of all the colors seen in the snow, is what you try to capture in a painting.

Submit your two-dimensional or three-dimensional (review guidelines below) for the theme of this exhibit, "Love of California". A committee of CAA members will jury this show.

Concord Art Association looks forward to seeing what Love of California is for the creative person you are. Representational and abstract work is welcome

You may submit up to four pieces for consideration. Entry fee is $15 per piece. 10% commission on sales payable to Concord Art Association. Fees and commissions help fund CAA's Teacher Grant and Scholarship programs.

Requirements

Be a member of CAA. Join CAA
2D work: minimum framed size is 20" wide x 20" high; maximum framed size is 36" wide x 36" high.
3D hanging work: same dimension requirements as 2D; must not protrude more than 3 inches from the wall and weigh no more than 5 lbs.
No nudity or volatile subjects.
Follow CAA framing guidelines. Work that doesn't meet the guidelines may not be accepted.
Drop off and pick up artwork on scheduled dates or arrange for someone else to do so. If you cannot do that, arrange for someone else to help out. Artwork cannot be stored at Centre Concord.

Submissions due: April 6
Artist notifications: April 8
Drop off: April 10, 12:30 - 1:30pm
Reception: May 1, time TBD
Pick up: July 17, 12:30 - 1:30pm
